So lately I've been posting in the normal RX section because it seems like there are more people monitoring this section. I have a RX-1M and the frotn end is very un-level. The throttle side shock is very shoft compared to the brake side. I've tried two other shocks on the throttle side with the same result; a list to the throttle side. Is this a problem with the RX's?? Or is my shock, along with the two spares, kaput?? Any advice at all on this would be much appreciated as this greatly affects the handling of my sled.

have you swapped side to side. maybe your other shock has a valving issue causing it to act stiffer.
I assume your mountain sled doesn't have a sway bar?

if it does, sometimes these twist out of sinc, making one side loaded and one side not all the time on even ground.

pull your springs and set them beside each other, that will tell you if your spring is sacked.
while spring is off, do a drop test. Nothing fancy but will tell you how the two compare on compression and return. you will see if there are any dead spots in the shock as well.

Other than that, loose parts on one side and not the other, as in bushings, or maybe a mount is broke in the frame, making the sled have to move more to take up the slack and start using the shock?

I've had the shocks apart and sized them up and they all seem to be about the same. The one thing I haven't done is put the brake side shock on the throttle side but I will be trying this next weekend. I just posted here to see if this is a common problem other people have experienced hoping someone will have a solution.
