Frozen relay...no start

Does anyone know if the 2015 Viper's have solid state relays? Are they the same as the Nytro's? Today was extremely cold weather and the only way to start the Viper was to add heat with a Heat gun in the relay section.
Must solve this problem.

Will remove the hood when I have it in the garage to further inspect the relays.

Wow never tried it that cold yet but starts real good -20 ish seems tobe only certain machines do you put cover on when warm

Doo has had this happen as well. All brands probably do.

I asked my dealer bout it he said they no longer put the two part solenoids on them after the problems with the nytro I live in Ohio in three years. I only had the nytro not start three times due to cold weather . so I asked bout it when I bought my new vipers . thought how stupid to begin with. But we should be safe if my dealer is correct.

He is right about the Relay being solid state on the Yamaha sleds. On viper I have not checked. The solenoids have been same since the 60's. Only way to change that would be to use a big switch or button right on pos cable to battery. Old cars and tractors you pushed a button with your foot. No solenoid needed very reliable.

Relay is solid state but still a problem. heat and or low voltage are being investigated by Yamaha/cat. This is a class problem.
