Hello,

I have a 2007 apex mountain with and M10 suspension and had to buy a new track last week. It looks like the only ones with the dimensions I need are the Camoplast 9175M and the Composit Talon 66.6. I hear Composit isn't selling in Canada until 2017.

I bought the camoplast and it showed up today only to find it doesn't have sawtoothed paddles. I suspected this but the photos online show so many different versions of the same track that I wasn't sure. The dealer was confident it was saw toothed (as per Kimpex catalogue) and so I ordered it. I almost returned it when it showed up; but since I don't have many options (and would have to wait till next year for the Talon) I took it home.

I ride in Golden BC where it is pretty powdery, soft pack and slush in the spring. Rarely if ever am I on ice or really hard pack, but I am concerned this powder track (9175M) is going to be unstable on anything but powder.

Do you guys think I should keep the 9175M with the full lugs or would you recommend holding out until the Talon 66.6 comes out in Canada with the saw toothed lugs?

Track I need must be 162, 15", 3.0" pitch and 2.5" paddles (maybe get away 2.66" paddles like the talon).

Any opinion on these tracks/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I should also add that the track I had on there was a Camoplast 9943M which I've heard is now discontinued. It was the original challenger series, very similar to this challenger extreme 9175M but it has saw toothed lugs.

you might want to post this in the Mountain section, you might get more responses there
