For those of you that have fully clipped your XTX ripsaw track, has it helped with hyfax wear? is it worth fully clipping this track?
Thanks for your input.

Me and a buddy fully clipped our XTX sleds a couple of years ago. Once in a while we need to cross ice covered roads for a couple of miles to pick the trail back up. This couple of miles would heat up the hi-fax to the point they were burning and stinking. Note none of the other ski-doo's, Artic Cats, or Polaris machines had this issue. All of the other machines were fully clipped. We tried to get in and out of the snow the best we could to help with lube.
Since we fully clipped the track the rolling resistance is much improved, higher top speed, and we no longer melt the hi-fax. Should of been fully clipped from the factory just another one of the many shortcomings this machine has.

I stretched my RS Nytro to a 144 and installed a fully clipped track. My current slides have about 1500 miles on them and might be 20% wore. I do have 135mm wheels though

I'd invest in the DuPont slides, I've had three different track and wheel combos and there's nothing like those slides to put your mind at ease. 400 miles on mine, no wear. A normal set would be down to wear bar.
