I have the the ice ripper xt ,-every window open-clipped every 3rd-with silent wedges.i see no wear at 200mi some skinny snow in spots.hyfaxs have 2500mi.IMO i think the steel chops at the hyfaxs at times, wearing them down if the track is fully clipped.i hope i can get another couple thousand miles on these plastics.stock ripsaw had less windows, same amount of steel.great wear.i would heat treat the hyfaxs with map gas then dip them in snow, that would harden them.works for me.

Installed a fully clipped 128" Ice Attack with a Star relocate kit and new slides, Replaced all the all the idlers with ski doo 135mm wheels and added two more in the mid portion of the rail. After 600 miles I see absolutely no signs of slide wear. I'm not sure if the fully clipped helped reduce wear but I do believe the taller wheels contributed a lot.

I replaced the stock tracks on both of my Vectors with Ice Rippers.. One had the cheese grater clips and the other was solid. Both tracks melted the hyfax equally last winter while rideing on white, but granular snow. I believe that the stock tracks were better because the extra steel just adds more heat.
We rode with a club that was using all the different brands and only my two Vectors had serious hyfax problems.
This year I have Dupont slides, Pioneer spacers, 5 more wheels and homemade scratchers. If this doesn't work it is time to give up.

Well I pulled out my standard slides which were worn down to the wear limit line wherever there wasn't an idler wheel. You can see in the attached picture how much the small marginal snow wheels at the front of my rails helped and how much the slider is worn right behind this area. This was after only 70 miles of riding in poor conditions. I realize that standard slides were quickly initially and then they stay virtually the same for hundreds if not thousands of miles.
However I wanted to try the Dupont slides and be done with slider wear altogether (or so I am told) so I put a set on. I will let you guys know if they work on the fully clipped Ice Ripper XT as I am planning on putting on a couple of hundred poor condition miles this next weekend.

There is a similar thread on here now and my comment is that I went from a center studded, partially clipped Predator with very little slider wear to a fully open and clipped Ice Ripper similar to yours and wore a hole in the sliders after about 300 miles. I added ice scratchers and the Pioneer wheel lift kit and it seems to have gone away. My wear was not so much at the bend but a little further back.
