Fully clipped vs. every 3rd

I believe a fully clipped will give you less friction on your slides and it will help the slide wear because it lets more snow in. But it may be heavier than the every 3rd window. JMO

The biggest advantage is less slider wear. The added weight doesn't mean jack in the grand scheme of things.

At minimum, open up the closed holes with a hot razor knife or use the appropriate diameter hole saw to cut them out.

Every third window- better flowtation

Clipped every window- extrovert drivers.

Clipped every third window will not give you better floatation. I will however give you hotter sliders and lots of melted plastic.

SASQUATCH has it right! . and i think the fully cliped track with external Drivers is a great improvement for 2010.

Another thing to consider is the lug depth and the HP of the machine . The deeper the lug with higher HP sleds the more chance of ratcheting on the every third window tracks. There is some added rotational mass with fully clipped tracks. IMHO I think it's more of a non-issue for a 4 stroke.......but can be a an issue on some 2 strokes speaking for sheer perfomance. The 4 stroke has a much broader torque band and will probably not be effected as much as a 2 stroke would.

Running kimpex 1.25 shotgun X with 96 1.450 studs in middle and full open track with every other window clipped, and it eats hyfax up. Think I am going to swap skids with one of my others and see if it changes or if it is the track design. My Son's that has a ripsaw with clipped every third and 96 1.450 studs in the middle does not eat hyfax anything like this one does.
