Sledtoyz.com is working to bring a replacement for Yamaha FX chassis OEM ball joints to market (2007+ Phazer, 2008+ Nytro). This new design implements two bronze rings to replace the OEM race and reuses the ball from the assembly. To recover the ball component the race of OEM assembly must be removed (die grinder with cut-off wheel for example) from your existing ball joints. In the future, an exchange program may be instituted, at an additional cost, to provide a turnkey solution for the installation.

This design as been shown to be capable of providing up to 4000-miles of use.

US/CAN pricing is expected to be approximately $125 (CAN price dependant on the Loonie of course) for enough rings to do both sides, plus shipping/applicable taxes. For comparison, current retail OEM ball joint prices are ~$113 CAN PER side and ~$80 US PER side.

Thanks for helping with our market research.

Dont you need to be a advertiser to sell products on this site? Maybe you are and just dont have the title updated.

Had the same thought as you Kinger. I'm guessing since Crewchief is a Moderator, he probably ran it by the big fella, though. ;)!

Anyway, he's just taking a poll to check product viability and whether or not it's an idea worth pursuing.

Have you seen the 2010 ball joints? Pretty Much the same thing just not bronze, but it is now a 3 piece ball joint.

MrSled would be bouncing my butt all over the place if I wasn't a paying advertiser. As it is, I've been paying since January of this year. Check out the site in my sig, www.sledtoyz.com . Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled though, it really helps us find the guys trying to fly under the radar.

TJ, I'll be PM'ing you this week-end, and no, I haven't seen the 2010 joints.

your pic is a bit different then the stock 2010 joints, I should be able to get a pic of some stock 2010 joints for u, so u can compare.

Would these fit the VLite frontend. Enough rings to do both sides - Is that for both upper and lower joints?
Thanks

These will be the lower ball joints only(both sides). And yes, they'll work on the Venture lites.

I just want a set that will work.. Preferably Yamaha, so I can get it done under warranty.
