Anyone else have this issue? Last weekend on a trip I was riding and could smell gas. I looked down at the tank and gas was seeping out around the cap. I figured it was just loose but it kept happening after I tightened it. I believe the pressure is building up in the tank and causing this.
Assuming the vent line is crimped I took the hood and sides off on the trail to look at the vent lines but couldn't see anything wrong. May have to take tank off. Thoughts?

There is a rubber o-ring on the cap. I would check to make sure that it is good and put a dap of grease on it to help it seal.

Odd, I had the same issue recently. Picked up a new seal and all is good. I think I pinched it previously and it was oddly shaped.

I had the same thing with gas seeping out and my seal wasn't sitting good on our first trip. When I got home I played with the vent line and never touched the seal and have not had the problem since. So check your vent line also!

the Plot thickns

I note that all 4 of you have '09 Nytro's...I've had 2 '08's one of which I sold to purchase a used '09...neither of the '08's leaked gas...the '09, well that's another story. The o-ring in the fill cap falls out...literally falls out...never had that issue w/ the '08's

It would seem to me that Yamaha in it's infinite wisdom jobbed out he o-ring to a different supplier and it don't fit.
