Lots of talk surrounding gas quality and tunes. What I would like to know is, are there certain stations that are known to have better quality gas for our machines? And are there certain stations that are known to have lower quality gas? I ride an Attak and I guess I just go for the 87 with a little star tron and off I go.

I run premium fuel in all my power sport engines and small engines faithfully with stabile mixed in, also my snowmobile calls for premium fuel, we don't have ethanol blended fuels here yet in NS but neighboring provinces (states) are getting the blend now, I always carry a small packet of octane boost in my sled just in case I fuel at a station that does not offer premium which happens here sometimes in more remote area's.

IDK.....I thought switching to a fuel injected four stroke would be more tolerant to bad gas?

That's more than I can tell you but personally I try to run the best fuel I can put in my sled if at all possible.IDK.....I thought switching to a fuel injected four stroke would be more tolerant to bad gas?

I’m more wondering if certain top tier stations are known to have better quality than other top tier?

Im sure of that. But when your out of fuel, beggers can't be choosers.

A certain size engine can only handle so much heat before bad things happen, a 4 stroke pushing beyond 14psi is moving just as much fuel/air through it as a 2 stroke of the same displacement. Preigniton on an engine pushing the thermal limits is a bad thing.IDK.....I thought switching to a fuel injected four stroke would be more tolerant to bad gas?
