Gear Box Lube

Anyone know if using a mulitgrade lube GL-3 GL-4 & GL-5 is ok for the chain box? No sycs but manual says GL-3 75W

It's hard to find a GL-3, at least I haven't found any around these parts.

I have been using GL-4/5 for years with no problem.

Come to think about it, isn't 50 wieght oil the same as GL-3????

I used a 75-90 synthetic in mine works great .
