Was wondering if it's a good improvement to go with 22/40 gearing? Now I have 21/41 with some mods. Stage 4 Evo, can, header and air box mod. The length of my chain is ok (86 L) but I don't know if the AC gears will fit with my chain. Will I have to change for the AC chain too for perfect fit ?

Yes but thats my opinion for how I ride. Gearing higher will eliminate the need to have the clutches shifting out all the way possibly binding springs and being limited by design. I cant argue with math I may have lost some bottom end but IF I did its not noticable on my sled and I have increased launch and short drag race successs along with long ones. My theory is stock gearing puts the clutches in a very inefficient range. Fully shifted. I feel my gearing made my clutching much more consistant. As for the gears and chain. It depends on what cat you got them from and what year. I know a 15 cat Turbo has identical chain to ours. The top gear is actually slightly beefier at the small teeth. It fits fine just looked at one yesterday.
