Yupp it'll come to a certain point where you just won't gain unless you get big power gains, but if you're not running 95+mph with a stock sled I wouldn't be dumping money on performance stuff or switching gearing cuz there's more going on. This chassis/skid has quite a bit of drag when it comes to higher speeds, may be something to consider and look into.

Same motor, same clutches. same gear ratio, same track, the only differences being, track length, 141 to 144 advantage to Viper, slightly shorter, lighter track. Track drive diameter Nytro 57.5 cm. Viper 61 cm. Nytro geared slightly lower. ECM Nytro Yamaha, Viper Cat, HUGH advantage NYTRO.

I don't by the Chassis/drag inefficacy argument. The Nytro in stock form would eat a set of slides in 1200 K, this skid is not eating slides even our low snow winter.
My brother has an almost identical skid in his Crossfire 800 and it doesn't seem to be an issue.

I hear you Nytros. But this weekend I clutched for the 8jp size belt had to add almost 12g of weight to keep off revlimiter. 103mph with mods. Same mods with 8DN 103mph. All done within 1hr on same stretch. With 8dn I was wiping mark off Primary with 8Jp 1/4 from top. 8Jp should have been faster. Unused clutch is effectively higher gearing potential. The motor will just not pull it. Ecu or Cam timing is my guess. More and more thinking ECU and NosPros Nytro with Evo mod made me lean even further in that direction. Do I think you have something odd going on? Yes you are about 5mph off of where you should be. Gearing isnt going to do it I dont believe. Definitly will get you better acceleration if lower but not top end.

Yes, huge advantage Nytro
Wish Yamaha would have stayed with the Nytro ECU, gauge and wiring.

I'm looking for 2.00, but I have more than enough chain to go 1 tooth bigger on the bottom, so I want a 42.
Thanks to NOS-PRO I spoke EVO and it is available, Buying 1 gear for $130.00 makes way more sense than buying chain and gear set for $500.00 plus.
You are very welcome Nytros

It's the cams that change between Nytro and Vector, Viper has same cams as Nytro.

Do you know this for sure? Same cam timing also? Please say yes. Would save me alot of time checking myself.

Thats from parts manuals.
Entire valve train are same part #s between Nytro and Viper, Vector and Venture have different part #s for cams.

Got ya. Still looking for Cam timing numbers for both. That can be the difference or just ECU. Thanks
