Ght-r-done or excell y pipe ?

I really like the Excell full package (Header, Pipe, Cowlings) for the Apex. It comes with rear cowlings that make everything look completely stock. Very good fit and finish. Might on my Christmas list next year.

I've heard great HP gains and not too loud either with Excell.

I was curious about the y pipes between the two companies but if I was thinking about the muffler as well it would have to be trail quiet

I ran both pipes and by far the excel was much better in performance, looks and sound..

I have the Bender SS headers,smoother bends and slightly larger dia.sounds stock with stock muffler,been on for over 2500mi-no issues-they say a slight HP increase that a don't notice.worth the money.

X2 on the excel being loud..

It's a very nice setup but loud, if you ride where you will get pulled over by you know who they will nail you for the noise..

Been there.. Had to take it off because of the trouble on the trails..

Especially when your with other apex's that are stock, you stand out like a sore thumb..

Now my sled is stock again except the air box mod which makes it a slightly beeper grunt, and they still try to look and see what's up with the sled..

I don't want to change the sound, I will keep my stock muffler... I just want to have a headers to replace the EXUP portion....
