This is pretty cool site for viewing current wind patterns. Use your mouse's scroll wheel to zoom in and out of you local area anywhere in the world. Works good on a computer but not so good on phone.

I hear you! When there's no snow it seems like I'm always looking at weather sites for some reason
That is pretty neat. Does that map also show the jet stream or the elevation of the wind direction?

I would say lower elevation wind. Maybe a merotlogist here can chim in?

I finally figured this out, Here is the link for the current jet stream. The link at the top of this thread surface level wind only.
