Well I finally got my temp gauge installed after 3 weeks waiting. Inadvertently ordered a temp sending unit adapter from china, couldn't find the right size in town. Took the slow boat from China, nice piece of work though.

This is the gauge that I used. Comes with mounting pod. $71. I don't know if this gauge will hold up to the pounding though, also the gauge has a button on the front that needs to be sealed. I think that the digital gauge that they sell would have been a better option. To mount I just drilled a hole thru the back of the cup and gauge cluster pod and put a double nut on the back. There was a gap between the cup and pod so I made 2 1/4" thick donuts from rubber and put them over the screw before assembly that tightened things up.

This gauge is the digital version, maybe a better option but need to buy the mounting cup. http://prosportgauges.com/Digital-water ... uge-1.aspx
