I installed the bushings and reinstalled the a arms. Last night I was pumping grease into the spindle (no ski on sled) I looked down and noticed grease on floor.
Because the new bushings are tight the grease found a leak path past the rod and out the bottom of the ski mount.
I found the leak path. Initially I was going to tig weld it but it's hard to get into the spot. Ended up cleaning well and packing with steel epoxy. The type you cut off and mix by hand. After I packed the void I then ran a small bead of permanent lock tite in the seam.
In the pictures you can see the grease leak path (green grease) and evidence of previous build up.
