Grizz Useing Oil

Got my new 05 grizz a month ago and I love it great but it seems to use alot of oil. I have to add some before every drive.I have 1100km on it and have used 1/2liter of oil.The bike was broke in easy and i dont drive it to hard.There are no leaks or any oil in the air box is this common for all grizzlys. I put 11000km on my 01 Big Bear and it never burnt 1 liter of oil.

what kind of shpae is your plug in? And do you see blue smoke at all when riding??

If both of them are fine then your not burning it.

i had the same problem, it did not seem to leak or produse any smoke. but it ran dry of oil, en 3 weeks and i had to change piston and other things.

and a coupel of my friends have the same problem

oil usage

Well summer is here & finally got a few miles on the 04 Grizz

Thought I'd check the oil! Down a full litre

Told bud with 04 Grizz he'd better check his, down 3/4 litre I'd noticed his burnin a little till it warmed up.

What's up with all the Grizzs using oil?? Thought I'd broke it in slow & carefull

mine was down a WHOLE liter also earlier this spring so i filled it up and after that it hasn't burned any yet.....

I have about 22 hrs. and 320m. on my 05 and I've noticed oil is weeping/leaking from the final drive PTO seal at the rear of the engine. But it's not leaking as much as you are seeing.

Sounds like you better take it back to the dealer.
