check with a cylinder pressure guage and see if it bleeds down and is getting pushed into the crank.

I just spoke to a 14 year Yamaha mechanic and he said if it is high pressure it is most likely from a blockage elswhere.
He said same stuff, check seal, o ring, shaft etc
I am perplexed and at wits end, I might have to bite bullet and take to Yamaha dealer.
