Thanks yamaha1973
Awesome sled the 08 super reliable and still going.
I made the mistake of riding my buddy's 13 apex xtx this past week and he had to pry my hands off the bars to get it back.
One hour on that and I was sold.

No Motor issues at all ranger1.
In that many miles or KM whichever you choose i've had the normal issues. Exhaust donuts, boogie wheels, sled still has original driveshaft. Did replace the track and all the bearings in chaincase once.
Also i did beat her bad thru a real bumpy section on TQ63 a few years back and cracked the rails. Had them welded and reinforced and never another issue there. Rode it all the way back 200 miles did not know was cracked till i got home.
One starter (warranty).
Rear shock went out earlier this season and I rode it 1100 more miles after. 10 miles from house it broke the front arm in the skid in two pieces. But I did that riding with no shock.
Dealer rebuilt shock in house and replaced front skid arm.
Slides were never a big problem but switched to Duponts mid season last year and have over 10,000 miles on them now.
This year replaced the front flex pipe on exhaust.
I did the Ulmer Oil lites in front end and new steering bushings just because.
To me all normal things.
I do minimum 6k miles a year so stuff will need work but nothing crazy.
Normal clutch maintenance also had some parts changed in clutch this year but nothing failed dealer spotted during maintenance some wear but was nothing expensive, do not remember exactly what they changed but something minor.
Two years ago early riding hit a unfrozen waterhole and busted front left bulkhead lower a arm mount. Again ride error not sleds fault. Rode it back home no problem. Almost 300 miles.
In 6 years of trips all over Quebec she was quite reliable and took a licking and kept on ticking.

This is awesome. I have 9k miles on my 2011. Not one single issue. Everything is still original including my wheels, bearings, track, shocks, everything. I only changed the slides, and oil. That's it. Still not done for the season though. Gonna go sledding tomorrow and thursday.trailhed1 said:![]()

I just snochecked a hot red 14 XTX as well. We still are using our 4 07 attaks and we plan on keeping them in the family for as long as we can. We have about 10.000 miles on each . we did donut YES covered it, installed larger wheels and we great mileage on hyfax. My tracks look good, we stud down the middle. are we pushing our luck with the original track at 10,000 miles?
