Did track once at 15,000 miles is not original.
Its time for a new one now for sure.

Gonna trade it in dealer here wants it.
Sure I will miss it but time to move on.

Aside from the power steering what did you like better about the XTX? I recently bought a 13 APEX 128" on advise of the dealer stating it rides better than the XTX? I had Pioneer revalve the shock and NOW it rides excellent. One thing I don't like is the seating position on it verses Doo and Cat. Kind of feel cramped for leg space..Sweet motor and very nimble with the power steering.

Power Steering was definately the main noticeable difference.
Also i'm 6'3" and the higher seating position was very comfy.
Trails were perfect so did not get to bump test it.
I won't ride a Cat, not gonna happen.
Doo I would never say never.
However I am going with what is proven and works for me here in QC riding only groomed and for the most part big trails.
Yamaha all the way.

I thought about a new Renegade but we ride all groomed trail that are super fast in northern Maine and I do not want to add the money into a 1200 to get it to run with the Apex.I know the skid is great but I just can not give up the power of the stock Apex motor. With the setup on my 07 Attacks we can rail on these high speed trails so I am sticking with Yamaha and ordered a 14 XTX. I felt right about the decision but I was reassured by a former Doo rider that now rides an 11 XTX and he feels that on the trails we ride a stock 1200 would not keep up with these XTX's

Think you will love the 14! Got a 13 the first weekend of March and put on just under 2300 miles on it in the month of March. I have been very happy with the sled. On my third set of hyfaxes but put the Duponts on and so far they are holding up great! have about 700 miles on them! Put a Pioneer performance wheel kit on so that I could use the stock Yamaha wheels. My buddies ride Yammies as well and when we take longer trips it's nice to have spare parts that we can carry and share as we have pretty much the same sleds.

. Does the pioneer performance wheel kit just take pressure of the hyfax by bringing the center of the stock wheel lower thereby taking pressure off of the hyfax?Apex Dave said:

I know what you mean! I went up north just to get out of town and came home with a new 2013 XTX. That was the first of March. 2300 miles later The end of the season for me and I already can't wait for next season! I hope the snow start earlier this year and lasts like it has this year. Was in the UP last weekend and got about 600 miles in and the trails were great. It rained on Saturday but still got some good miles in! Got to ride while you can!

Rain is just snow that lost its way.My last ride in Jackman ,Maine we rode 1 day in the rain but the trails were great. We still did 250 miles that day. On our way in it rained kind of hard. the locals could not believe we were out that first day. We did about 500 miles . We would have done another 250 miles but the third day it got very cold and the last day trails were solid ice . still we had a great trip. Now that I ordered the 14 I 'm going to be like a kid counting the days till Christmas
