Whats the best way to reinstall hand grips over the stock Nytro bars?
I'm reusing the stock grip(s).

I've heard some things in the past about hair spray, spray paint...
Hair spray sounded like a good idea...adds some lubrication to slide over the bend and the heater element, then dries and 'sets'?

I also am thinking i'll add a couple wraps of electrical tape around the rivet holes...to stop moisture from getting to the heating element. Which should also help "set" the grips?? Maybe?

Any other ideas? Suggestions? What works, what doesn't?

Thanks!

In the past I've used compressed air through the small hole in the end of the grip. It creates an air bearing around the bar, pretty slick. Were the stockers glued on?

I believe he's asking to RE-install his grips, not remove them.

Yes, re-install..
Installing grips back onto the bars..

Compressed air works for both! Just remember to plug the other end of the bar. You may need a helper but it is a clean way of doing it.

How do you get the grips to "hold" then? W/o any type of adhesive at all?

The grip basically expands, then contracts onto the bar...no adhesive needed.

I'll second this! WD-40!! It works!!! Or, I've used gas before also. It melts the rubber to the bars!!! ;)!

brake cleaner, spray a whole bunch in the grip and they slide right on but when its dry they will not come off.

Some people think it's just easier to buy a new sled.

Just to add one more solvent based option to the mix - spray paint. Shoot some into the grip and push! It's slick when wet and sticks like crazy when it's dry. Wear old clothes and cover the grip with a rag. Drink beer and repeat.

You may want to test this out on a friend's sled first.

just curious...how come you had the grips off in the 1st place? warmers?

Also, how did you get them off?

Off to install new hand warmers. My RH was shorted or broke all together...no worky at all.

I just twisted the grip around...till it broke loose.
