I've used the aluminum mounts on my nytro and broke off several.
I have been using the nylon mounts and the Yamaha guards all last year and love them. They are warm enough and not too bulky.
I can't stand the big bulky guards that cover up the end of the bar as it's very restrictive when off trail riding.
I only use a pair of klim power cross Gloves and I have wrapped the guards up and over the bars and have never broken one yet.
As you can see by the scratches they've taken a beating...lol!!

I have the rox flex tech handguards as well, work awsome ! Tho they hit the windheild on mine (the stock flared on one the 2015/2014) so I ended up going with the super low one, does nothing but neither does the other one , think it looks better to.
