I installed my nytro handguards. Had to move the brake over to the switch pod but fit very nice. Have a base model with stock windshield. clears well with riser block about 20 behind vertical. Looks like they would hit but the bars turn more vertical than horizontal.

you can add flares to the yamaha ones.

I know that the cat guards and yamaha guards look the same, but the cat flares will not fit the yamaha guards. We picked up a set of the flares, and they definitely will not fit.

Ah really because one of the yamaha race team vipers have them on their sled.

OK ... I'm a dork. I tried one last time with the cat flares and they do fit. They are a little tricky to get lined up. Don't know why I had trouble before, but they are on now.

I just got my flares installed today as well. No problem with them fitting whatsoever. They look nice!
