Handlebar pad w/storage pocket
I recently put the new handlebar pad w/ the storage pocket on my Apex.
Noticed a couple things: it blocks the lower half of the tach and other gauges when you are seated and the lower end of the cover rests against the chrome-plated plasic collar.
Question for those of you that have this same handlebar pad-is it correct to have the foam pad placed with the cut-out on the side closest to the seat? I assume that is the way to have.

xcsp, I assumed the other way and have the cutout on the windshield side. I don't know which way is correct. I assumed you would want more foam on driver side? Also cutout accomodates the cables better? Darned if I know. studdog.

I also have the handlebar pack. Not sure that I will use it however. The vision retriction of the gauges is the major concern for me. I actually like the looks of it better without the handlebar pack. I assumed the cutout was to allow a little more bulge at the pocket so put it facing the rider. The pack that goes in the front nose is well worth it to me however.

For a sled that comes with an MSRP of $10,899.00 should have the nose bag included.

It was not advertised with the front nose bag so I would not expect them to furnish it. I think that is why they offered assesory money up front for those that wanted to take advantage of it.

I have a silver RX1 pad with pocket, and was going to put it on, but also found it blocked the veiw. Guess I'll sell it to an RX1 owner.
