I just ordered a Fly Racing handlebar pad. I haven't tried to fit it yet but one thing is for sure...I will have to take the cable holder (U-shaped piece that is bolted on front of riser block) The throttle cable will have to sit on the outside of the pad. On the stock pad there is notch for this cable. I don't want to notch this pad. Does anyone see any problems with the cables be routed on the outside of the pad?
I will take pictures this afternoon once I get it fitted.

When I put my sled together I didn't even put that small cable bracket on. I would rather let the cables move freely. I didn't put the "last minute cob" handlebar pad on either. I am considering a FLY pad and will decide after I see pics of yours on the sled. Thanks.

I'd have to set on my rear storage compartment in order to hit my face on the handlebars :ORCpimpedrsrage said:MightyWarrior said:Pad, what are we "Gurly Men" "We don't need no stinking Pad"

I like the one Yamaha has offered with the pouch, I don't know if you will be able to see gauge though. Time will tell.

i was thinkin bout gettin a hanldebar pad but not sure if it would work on my bars. i think im gonna wait for the guys with apex's or nytro's to see if the hanldebar pad works for that setup-cuz mines basically the same.
my handlebars r too high anyways so i cant see the guages unless im standin up

Here's some pics. It worked okay but you can't use the center velcro strap on the pad cover...no big deal, I just tucked it in underneath or you could cut it off. Looks better than stock.

I like it. a blue mirrored low shield would look great. maybe someone will make one by winter.

Blue, Black, Red, and I believe white. I ordered online form Hoppke Racing. They are located in Watertown, MN. I think it came to $25.00 with shipping. They show the colors on the site

I will have one painted as soon as my low clear shield comes in.
