HARD Steering

Where can you purchase the "OFT stuff" and the relocator? Is this from the dealer or aftermarket? How much does it run?

Seems guys rave about the OFT relocator. Was it just much smoother to turn (less effort) or more comfortable given the position. Also, did it change how the sled handled or was it just a comfort thing?

All of the above. For me it was night and day. A more natural bar movement witch in turn made it eaiser to turn while sitting and made a near impossible sled to turn while standing real easy. This making it handle better for me. The easiest way to put it is this. It makes a sled with a up down bar sweep into a push pull. We don't drive out trucks with handle bars so why should we drive our sleds with a steering wheel motion. I would have to say perhaps the best mod to date for me.

In the old days, before power steering you would see a lot of bigger vehicles with the steering wheels mounted more on a horizontal plan. They did this because your body is much stronger in a push pull or "sawing" motion. With power steering added the steering wheels are much smaller and mounted more vertical because less effort is needed. By adding a OFT relocate kit to the Nytro (which does not have power steering) it repositions the bars so they move on more of a horizontal plan and makes the steering feel lighter and more natural because your body is stronger in that motion. It's amazing how such a small movement of the Nytro's steering post improves steering effort.

You get way better bushings than the OEM plastic. When I got done installing mine I couldn't believe how smooth and free my steering felt. When I ride other Nytro's now that don't have the OFT there's no way I want to ride without it.
