Has the belt size changed

I looked at the belt specifically at the show last spring and they were the same belt as the RX-1. I also read in one of the magazines that they were the same. Yamaha belts are as good as any and are usually less expensive by far than the others.

Not only is it the same but they have used the same belt for years on most models. In my Doo days I swear every sled I owned used a different belt and can you say expensive :o| On my 97 Mach Z they changed the belt 3 times during the season.

The last MachZ I owned used a $100.00 belt and I won't get into what a short life span they had :o| :o| :o|

:yam:

My friends 05 Mach Z belt cost atleast $120, he went through 5 last year (covered under waranty). I put 6,000 miles on my 03RX-1 belt with no problems. I thought when I bought my last belt it was $65 or $75 but that was when I had a SX 700.

I wouldn't know how much a belt cost. My '98 SRX 600 had 5,800 miles on it when I sold it. My '02 Viper had 2,600 miles on it when I sold it. Both sleds had the original belt on it. I'm just mad I bought a spare for each of them.

P.S. The guy who bought my SRX still has the same belt on it. 7,000+ miles.

They typically cost $39.00 at Nelsons snow show which is the 26th, 27th and 28th. of this month. That was the price the last couple of years at least.

I think the retail price is something like $54.00. Best price of any of the OEM's for belts ;)! UP sledder is correct about Nelson's price, I got their flyer yesterday.
