hauck exhaust system

hello everybody.this is from norway,what have you heard about the new hauck exhaust system.they claim 12 hp with the full system and 13 pounds weihgtsawings. the full system costs 1100 dollars.they also have a cheaper system prowiding 9 hp.and a new cdi unit to advance the timing and give you 4 hp trough the powerband but nothing on top.the cdi system and the full exhaust system should give you 16hp. what do every seious rider on this forum think about this to the rx-1. specially turk is welkom to answer this.but also eveybody who nows something about it

i doubt highly that you are going to gain 12HP with just exhaust..

The cdi i can believe as i thought about this a long time ago!!

what reputation have hauck powersports in usa, it is dangerous to say 12 hp if there isnt so musch, idont like to be foold around with.the dyno sheets they have says 12 hp but thats the dyno,field testing its was all is about,if it work there it will bee good.hauck says 3-4 sledlengts better with full system compered with a stock rx warrior

Well, Pat Hauck is the fastest guy on asphault. No idea on how they are on service. I have a friend who has a 2001 SRX that he sent to them to have done, and that sled is incredably fast for a Improved Stock sled.

well we are going to test this in the middle of desember,the order is done for the full system and cdi unit,i will post the resault as soon as we get them,if nobody on this site will do it before us

I love it 9hp from a slip on exhaust system" impossible period".He didnt tell you that you have to buy 4 other bolt ons to get it to 9 hp.That system better be built out of titanium to save you 13 pounds.Come on guys use your heads.......

What some of the car and cycle forums do is the guys will weight the part and they will also post before and after dynos. I dont know if you can do all that, but it is about the only way to honestly say it does as claimed or not. The weight and hp claimed do seem to be way optimistic.

you have to be kidding right? knapps vmax was in a class of its own. he built an 800 and a 1000 that has yet to be equaled. he is on this site, post for him to give you all the details. jeff

Mike Knapps sleds are so much faster than Haucks there not even in the same league. Be it on asphalt or ice.

SimonsCPR - I was not tryig to proclaim Pat as the best tuner in the world, just giving my $.02 on how my friend made out with his work.

I don't think it was cheap, but I have seen that 700SRX tear up 1000cc Price Big Bores, etc.... and yes, it is still a 700, still has the factory pipes and factory carbs on it.

we will check the wheight on a scale. but the testing will bee done in the field. to see the diffrence beetween the stock one and the one with hauck exhaust system. it is in the feelds who matters.

This new exhaust is also Wisconsin DNR legal! Using their testing procedures and using a decibal meter is came in at 84 decibels just 2 over stock and 2 under the 86 decibel max limit here in Wisconsin. I ordered one ($500.00) and will also do a report for you guys in a couple of weeks.
