have a nytro and wanna jump it 55ft? Give this a read first!

Now those are some SWEET pics. The second to last is definently one of the coolest.

Yes, it's a 144 Expert-X. Pretty much the only mountain skid that will hold up to repeated abuse...they are BEEFY.

Ok so this is what a FX Nytro will handle, and I was the RIDER!!!
Its says below that the first jump took out a hole front end, well this is True, but we had a Super Kicker ramp set at 65 Feet!! and my first jump out I went completly to FLAT!! which means I went about 80 feet far and about 30 feet high out of the air straight to dirt!! THEY ARE SNOW MOBILES. Any sled would have some damage. Im lucky I didnt break my BACK.
after about 2 hours of wrenching I had put a new front end on my sled and had it up and running!! any other sled would have taken at least 10 hours. After ridig the second show I crashed on a backflip, once again I went to the FLATS!! and the only thing I broke was a rear track tightner. I did NOT bend my rails, axle, or my tunnel!!
The next 4 shows were trouble free.

So I would say a STOCK FX Nytro will take a 65 foot SUPER KICKER!!!

You guys are nuts!!! Seriously. That was quite the show...truely amazing. I can't even imagine wanting to fix the sled after the first crash lol...

Even more amazing is the difference between actual facts and the speculation that started the thread ;).

Jeff, Welcome Bud. Thank you for setting the story straight.
Been hearing very good things about you from the Yamaha Crew. Sounds like your possitive attitude is well liked. Keep it up.

Ok again i got some more explaining to do.
Re reading it with a clear head i realized what i wrote only made sense to me and in talking to my buddy i was there wwwatching with helped me understand where my recollection was way off. I don't want to make any excuses and really don't want to get into my personal problems that are beyond my control contributed to what happened here. regardless i'm acountable for what i wrote.

1. Its a good thing you didn't break your back, and good that the sled absorbed the impact like it should. I'm recovering from a broken back (t4)and spinal cord injury right now and it not fun.

2.WHen i said the tunnel was bent I didn't mean to the point its totalled. From what I saw it has a few bends in the boards and snowflap area. Most ramped sleds i've seen has the same sorta cosmetic dammage, just riding off a ramp with a full snowflap bends that area on most sleds doesnt effect the sled mechanically at all.

3. Rails looked bent slightly at the ends when we looked at it right after the flip, figured someone just bent them back when u guys had it pulled(wasn't around for that). It must have just looked like it was bent because the rear axle was angled crooked(broken tensioner) and the track was still on it at that point. I don't remember sayin the axle bent, just that like any other trail axle (like my rev for example) are prone to bending from my own experience.

Lesson learned next time I post I'll pick a time when im not as weeded on painkillers and have someone whos memory works fact check for me.

Well that's great of you to post Jeff. This is huge for me I've been looking to move to a Nytro but was worried about the durability of the chassis and suspension. But if it's strong enough for Jeff Mullin it just might make do for me. LOL
