ok... found a welder that will do it with a tig welder. he claims it uses high frequency and can cook my electronics... he says that I would have to disconnect everything to avoid this issue... thoughts???

thanks 4fighter... I checked that out and looks like a great idea, but I wonder about the electronics.. I did find someone to do it, but he wants all electronics unplugged to avoid cooking the computers... I want to avoid this. how bout some JB Weld??
Yank the skid and deliver it to him. Had SEVERAL repairs to my Viper and had a guy that builds racecar chassis weld mine. Never broke where he repaired it.

try putting some jb weld on it, really tough stuff, I cracked my chaincase last year when I was changing the driveshaft bearing, put some jb weld on it and no problems since, no leaks works great. not sure if you can get it in the states or not. Your local automotive or hardware store should have it.
