When ya guys do ur apex seat mod what are you guys using for molding to cover the piece on the tank ya cut off?? I was to 4 stores tonight and can't find anything??

mostly everybody uses the trim that goes ontop of your winshield

I just sanded mine smooth to eliminate any rough spots so it wouldnt tear the seat cover.

Door edge trim.Used to be able to get it any auto parts store...

Most auto glass shops have trim for snowmobile windshields,door edge mouldings,etc.try that.

Black door edge molding from auto parts store. You have to buy like 12 feet of it though. About ten bucks. There is some kind of adhesive inside the trim that grabs nicely.

Napa auto parts had mine its just a door trim with self adhesive in side!

Also used door edge molding, Dad works at a dealership so a short piece was easy to come by.

Took mine off an old windshield,I knew I kept it around for something

Do like DaJudge said. Cut it carefully and sand the edges. Mine looks factory.

Ski-doo dealers have really nice windshield trim with a red peel-off sticky back.Downside?Its not cheap.
