Head removal question

Technically yes, but it is a lot easier if you remove the sprockets.
 
I just did this the other day w/a lot of help from lakercr. I was able to take them out w/sprockets attached, but could not put them back with them attached. After talking to lakercr, it would be much easier to put the cams back on, put the covers on, then the sprockets.

So far so good, I need some 400 grit emry paper to get rid of the old gasket, tomorow I should geter done.I have 4 nightshifts starting tomorow so its going to be a while before I get to hit the flipper.
 
I put the exhaust cam in with gear got it lined up, lifted it back out put the intake came and gear in set them both into place. Took 4 hands but it goes quickly!

Not to say that is right or not, but it worked.
