I have a 05 Rs Rage (vector) that needs a stator. It’s a big job so I will do it at the end of the season. But my stator is making 7-8 volts( suppose to be 45) ac volts. How can that be enough to run the lights and dash lights because they work fine. Is there somewhere else they are getting power ? It can’t be the battery because it would go dead and it doesn’t when riding. Any help would be nice

Yes, definitely not charging and your output voltages indicate a bad stator. A carb'd engine doesn't drain the battery like a FI engine but even with a good, fully charged battery the lighting, ignition coils, carb heaters, ECU and handlebar warmers will eventually drain it. Without the stator charging the battery these engines will eventually shut down.
