Heat Blanket Burn Through

Thanks to this site, I noticed that when I went to put on my new MBRP trail can that the heat blanket was burning through.
$5 worth of stainless steel and 1/2 hr of work, this is what I came up with. Thanks Cannondale for the idea.

I also did a few other things... I stapled a flame retardant soldering cloth ( from Home Depot ) to the stock heat blanket and also covered the inside of the outer panel with foil tape. This should prevent any melt down. The beer can fix ain't my style...lol

That's the one. I'm not goin back to drinking so why risk it for a heat shield mod.

Ha! No someone found a alternative for factory blanket.

Any thoughts on thermo tech adhesive backed heat barrier, comes in 12"x12"square, thinking it could be installed right on stock heat pad.
