Heat shield

Did a search but no luck...I know I read a post on here about somebody puting some aftermarket heat wrap or tape to replace the stock stuff under and over the header pipes but can't find it. Anybody have any ideas? Heat tape? How thick? What about just wraping the pipes? Theres no way I'm putting this stuff back in and there has to be something better then the stock crap thats in there! Thanks!

That would be awesome but there is snow on the ground and I don't have time to order...I'm hoping for some ideas I can get at NAPA ect. My buddy said he wouldn't worry too much to put it back in as it's from the bottom of the header...thoughts?

From what I understand some guys will wrap there headers with (Exhaust Insulating Wrap) and hold it on with Stainless steel wire. Should be able to buy the wrap at NAPA. SS wire usually at a marina if NAPA doesn't carry it.

I have taken the aluminum shroud off my exhaust from my Viper. Has some of that stuff inside there. Maybe you have something like that laying around.

NAPA sells heatshield material. I've used it for exactly that.
