Bought and mounted a heated seat pad and got it placed under my seat cover. There are 4 sires coming from in: 1 ground, 1 12v and 2 for temperaturesensor/thermostat.

Anybody have any idea how to wire this? Dont know what they mean by temp sensor/thermostat, is this just for the LOW-OFF-HIGH SWITCH? Or something else?

Thanks

Is this the Yamaha kit? Did the kit provide a wiring diagram? A thermostat uses a two dissimilar metals to measure temperature. As the dissimilar metals heat up and cool down, they produce different resistances which can be measured. This can be used to automatically adjust current draw or trigger a relay to turn on or off. Not sure how your kit works. Likely, it uses the first method. If its the Yamaha kit, I can take a look at my wiring harness next week when I get my sled back.

Sadly, its not the Yamaha kit. This is a universial kit i bought at a automotive hardware store for $15.
I think i understand what you mean, so it looks like i have to go back and buy the wiring harness too, with the thermostat.

More than likely. Without it, you will get hot all the time which may burn out the element if not cause other damage...
