Blue/white wire on the headlight switch (left handlebar). Ground to one of the bolts on the riser. Cable then conveniently hangs out of the side of the handlebar pad.

Buy the ski doo kit. Simple to put in, looks great and works like a charm.

Jon, did you just used an enviromental splice and then heat srink arond it? Also, if I go that route with it'll be hot (meaning the wire) eveytime the seld it on correct?

I spliced into the wire, soldered it and then electrically taped the crap out of it. Yes, it's always hot when the sled it on since the headlight is always on. I didn't like cutting into a perfectly good wire, but the dealership where I bought the sled did all of theirs this way so I thought I'd follow suit. It's been bulletproof thus far.

By the way, I also wired my '07 Phazer the same way and it's also worked as advertised. I'm not a big fan of wiring anything directly to the battery. While it may not pose any problems, as an aviator, I simply don't like anything connected to it that has the potential of draining a battery. I like things either to be "off" or "on".

No one mentioned the fuse that should be the first thing off the power source. If you use the accessory plug with an adapter, that is fused. The battery and the battery jumper cables should have a fuse, then the wire to the device.
