Well I'm just playing now,,, I have a Nytro low boost trail rider,(200 hp) flat lander, I will be 100 % honest I'm lost on helix, sled runs good no complaints, just want to try to get that little extra , what I have now s the heel clicker in primary set at 8900 rpm,, in secondary I have stock helix (43 deg) with purple spring, I don't mind loosing in the trail , I want to gain on the lake, so was thinking going to a 39 helix? Can anybody send me in the right direction?

That setup should have a wicked back shift. If it holds rpm where you want it not sure why you would want to change it?

Higher helix angle upshifts faster, but backshifts slower and has less belt grip. Low helix angles clamp the belt harder and backshift rapidly, but upshift/acceleration suffers.

If you want to go faster, you are going the wrong way on the helix. I run a straight 47 in the mountains with the purple EPI spring. This is PLENTY of belt grip for me so I would suggest it should be for you as well with a shorter track and running the flats. I am new to Yammy, but not clutching/clutch theory. I would suggest at least a 49 or 50 straight helix for flatland running...maybe a Yammy guru can confirm/deny my recommendation. You will lose some RPM, so you will have to drop some weight on your primary arms to compensate.

Funny you mention str8 50 because I found that helix in my pile and it was on my turbo Apex,, I will try that one ,, on a nice day I want to kill time
