Ok I have the rear shock out.. Now how do I change the spring??? I need to figure this out fast as the trailer is heading to the mountains this weekend... Explain in detail if you could.. Please! Thanks guys..

I use a bearing spreader finger tight around the adjuster. Then I connect a pair of spring compressors (strut style) between the bearing spreader and the spring at the far shaft end.

Tighten up enough to pull the c-clip or spring retainer (either end).

Remove the spring, install the new one, install the compressors the same way, and install the c-clip or retainer.

It sounds harder than it is. Takes about 15 minutes at most (using an impact gun to tighten the spring compressors).

The reason for the bearing spreader is so the compressor claws don't jam into the shock body and damage it.
