When you turn the key to on can you hear the fuel pump cycle? or is there nothing?

X2 on the fuel pump cycling. Also I would try some new plugs, could be fouled out.

I had a buddy who was very proud of his mechanical prowess. He rebuilt the engine in his '69 Roadrunner and when the time came it would not start. I asked him if there was gas in it. There wasn't. Just saying.
