HELP! Vector oil slick

Did your son roll the sled? Is it like the others if tipped on thier side they will leak oil? Sounds very odd, I am interested in the results. Good luck

Yes Pat, you did mention that but he took it without my permission. The wife said he could take the sled but she meant the Phazer. When the Phazer didn't start, he took mine instead.

Just got back from Sudbury but this morning I took her sled out for a little loop to Larder Lake and left her home. I am surprised at how good the trails are so soon after the melt. Needs a little brushing between Boston Creek and Larder junction though.

Bluebullet: no he didn't roll it. He works at a pizza joint after school just a few block away and rode the streets to get there. I'll update when I know more from the dealer.

Ultra, Roll it might not have been the best word, Tip over might of been better, or tip on it's side. Anyway just trying to figure out where oil went or came from. lol
All good

Same thing happen to my brothers 2006 Nytro its first winter. The oil/water seperator hoses froze and puke out half liter oil when i took it out of the garage.Certain conditions/not warmed up fully will cause this.

All is solved!

It cost me $100 for the dealer to tell me I'm stupid!!!

I neglected to remove the old oil filter's o-ring that got stuck to the engine. I bet I won't do that again.

He said he was very surprised it didn't leak right away let alone 250 km later.

I guess I owe my kid an apology.

LOL, we have all done something like that Ultrafrozen but most hate to admit it, good on you!

Glad to hear it was something minor ;)!

Thanks, I do hate to admit it but I had to post hoping I might prevent someone else from pulling the same mistake. Funny thing is I always check the gasket when I change my car's oil.

Nice to have definitive cause and easier solution to what seemed like a major problem.

Yes, you can't imagine the relief I felt when the dealer told me it was fixed when I called him a half hour after opening. I was calling to make sure they gave me an estimate before doing too much work.

Can't wait for the weekend!
