I want to upgrade my light to HID or LED. What I have now is weak. Do you have any good recommendation for a good quality kit? I would prefer LED, but I am not sure that you can find a kit that is compatible.

I’ve tried led. Very bright yes but doesn’t throw the light far enough forward. Light was too white as well. Need 4300k max for maximum terrain definition imo.
If you plan on doing a lot of night riding I’d stick with HID. Nothing cleaner than that for projecting the light where it’s supposed to be.

ALSO careful on amazon. A lot of the lighting on there from China and deceptive adds. Claiming lumans, wattage ect. Example a fog light with 8 bulbs in it they claim to be 40watts. Meanwhile 40 divided by 8 bulbs equals 5 watts per led.

Also. Before my hella lamps I used to set my headlight to throw best light with high beams on (stock bulbs) for majority of night riding. On coming traffic i flip to low beam. There is no happy medium with the Phazer head light assembly unfortunately. Poor design. High beams sky high and low beams 8’ in front of bumper lol.

Exactly, expect about 600-800 real "Lumen" per 10w of power, most fan less bulbs are well under 30w of power and ones with fans 20-40w. The stock halogen pair put out around 2400 lumen @ 120w total, a pair of 20w fanless leds will do roughly the same @ 40w total but probably won't have nearly as good of a light spread. Been there, tried that. Also the LEDs just don't throw enough heat to keep the lens clear if your following someone kicking up a decent amount of snowdust. I'm a big fan of LED lights, just not ones that replace Halogens in a housing designed for Halogens.
