If stock is 21/41 you can run 22/41 without changing chain.Did you change the chain when trying 24/41? Or 22/41? I have a hurricane race kit + 1150 stroker crank. 153" 2.6 powerclaw. I am looking for higher gearing!

22/41 with 86 link chain just fits on perfect when new but will stretch a little after a few miles
24/41 requires an 88 link chain

I'm not able to put 22/41 with my stock chain ? Is it a good ratio for me or going back to 21/41 . I don't want to spent for a chain if it's not a good gain. I have Evo stage 4, header, can and airbox mod

You might have to work at it if the chain is new but it will go on. It will stretch out after it been run and then go easy.

90 will be too long. I would get a 40 bottom and 22/40.

i have a Ltx and I have gears and chain out of an xtx I want to install. How much will this effect my clutching? I have a thunder products big venom kit and unfortunatly I probably wont be able to do any test and tuning on snow till i take my first trip to wisconsin in december. just want it to be close when i get up there. Other mods are straitline header/can intake mod and i am getting a stage 4 evo flash.
Very little if anything will be effected clutching wise. The clutches just wont need to fully shift out anymore. I believe with my gear change I only lost 50 rpm at wideopen.i have a Ltx and I have gears and chain out of an xtx I want to install. How much will this effect my clutching? I was also considering having my clutches machined by schmidt bros. will this not be neccesary with the gearing change? why wont my clutches need to fully shift out? dont you want that for maximum performance/speed? Ive always had my buddy do my clutching for me trying to give him a surprise when we line up this yearVery little if anything will be effected clutching wise. Machining is not necessary. The gear change you are doing is a 7 mph increase at 9000 rpm. 112 mph by the way. At most in perfect conditions with your mods you'll pull 107-108. You should be fine with your clutching. Just watch your rpms as the gearing may pull them down a little. If you think they are low just pm me or Nos-pro and We will tell you what to adjust.
