Highlands Riding Picture Album

Yeah, I expect to get harder steering with whatever I go with. My second sled, well it is now since I bought the nytro is a 2004 polaris Xc700 136"
kit with USI px-301 skis which are 6.75 " wide and float excellent, But have a very aggressive keel similar to C&A, I love them but I can hardly turn them on hard pack, once you start moving they are okay. I think to get the benefits of the extra handling from aftermarket skis the steering effort is going to greater. I had the shocks rebuilt on that sled and need to adjust the preload on the front springs in all fairness.

I totally agree with your opinion on installing the Yosh on the nytro. I think with a four stroke you will not see the loss in power like a two stroke by just adding a noisemaker as they call it. Also just listening and looking at the stock muffler you can see where the biggest restriction is in the exhuast system. I was thinking about a slip on ever since I bought the nytro and when you posted your install, I was very impressed. I have Yosh RS3 on my 2002 Gixxer 600, and think I may even see how I can possibly install that on the nytro. I am watching ebay for a RS5 just the same.

Did you remove the tunnel protectors when you installed the 1.5" intense or did you just cut off the exchanger protectors at the front of the tunnel.

I only cut off the exchanger protectors up front, but I should have removed them from under the tunnel as well. They are one the main reasons why so much snow sticks to the sled. I'll probably remove them this week.

A few pics from the past couple days.....had to be 20 foot drifts in some places ! I was accompanied by my girlfriend on one ride, so I didn't try to get in too deep without an extra set of strong arms just incase. We had an awesome couple of days, a bit cold out for her on Friday, but overall great to get out before the drifts were all mashed up.

Here's a quick clip as well... http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=5PUjSuyz3Xc
