Hi guys!

On the last ride of last season I hit a rock with the left ski and now the ski is about 40mm further back then the right one.

The sled is a 2011 MTX 162 with the MCX 180kit.

Normally I would think that the only thing being bent is the A arms but from what I`ve heard the subframes tend to bend easily?
But like, 40mm is pretty much, I guess the upper a arm will bend easier then the lower one?

I`m going to take the sled down to work and inspect it thorougly, I know some guys just pull them straight but I don`t like repairing such a new nice sled with such a method.

I`m kinda tempted to replace the parts and keep the old parts as emergency spares.. .

On the other hand I need new riding gear hehe.. .

Is it possible to ONLY bend the subframe and not the A-arms??

:4STroke: [/u]

When my 08' RTX bent the sub frame folded enough to push the shock into the upper a arm but upon inspection my arms were still perfect, of course it's hard to know for sure without seeing your sled but I would bet your arms are fine.

I hit a rock on Feb 12th last year, check out the pics...

I replaced my front end with a Zbroz front suspension, and bought a new subframe. When I tore everything apart the subframe was fine, but I replaced it because I didn't want to take a chance. Everyone said that because of the damage my subframe was toast for sure. I'd say check it out, I could have re-used mine. I have it as a spare, but I hope I never need to use it!

Kimoaj, How you been? My Sundance is bent but my a arms are straight. If you need new ones going aftermarket will be cheaper. OFT is a dealer for skinz ,timbersled, and zbroz.

Hi guys!

Wow radianguy, you had some heavy rock action going on there!! Must have really felt it when it hit.. .Your story is the opposite of pro116 and Mazz, I can see that the reinforcement plate on my frame (the plate that old frames didnt have?) is "bent" so I think the frame is bent.

I`m on a tight budget so I really hope it`s only the frame, it`s only 476$ and takes 5-6hours to replace so it would be the easiest way out.
Will take the sled down to work next week and have a look at it.

Pro116, I`m doing just fine, nothing new actually..well I ditched the bitch so that I can ride every weekend this season.. lol hehe. But I have to make my own dinner every day.. ehh?? How are you doing mr pro116? When you say sundance you mean subframe hehe?

Dimebag, sounds like a good idea.. hehe.. mr funny guy;)

Oh yeah I felt it, the sled stopped I didn't!! I went over the bars, flew a good 15-20 feet, didn't know anything until I was face and eyes in the snow.

Hope you make out ok with your sled!

Well id way its totalled, i call dibs on the 180 kit ;)!
