Any ideas of what to do so I don't hit the rev limiter?? I was thinking of a clutch kit or heavier weights?? It only hits the rev limiter from a dead stop and a hit the throttle wide open??

Try changing your secondary spring tension to position 3-3. That will help.

I have 1400 miles on it now but its done this every since I put it on. Even in the instructions it said that it might do that and D&D suggested putting heavier weights in the primary.

Try a 8DN belt, cheap test.

My secondary was set wrong from the factory according to Ulmer, pull the helix and check what numbers you are in first it should be 6/1 or 3/3 he said off the top of his head. The 8dn helped stabilize my rpm but didn't fix the problem really. I still need to test 6/1 but gained a hell of allot at 6/2 even! I am still hitting the limiter on the bottom end though.

My guess is that since u bought the barker you are prolly looking for more performance? The can alone adds 10hp..might better have them send you a clutch kit too so that it actually makes the extra 10hp worth having. They've got some real good clutching setups to use with the barker that will really help get the extra power to the ground

You know so am I. But as soon as it grabs it drops off the limiter. Granted I have different stuff going on, but same out come. I'm ok with it bouncing off the limiter right out of the hole. For like a second. Then it drops and holds 8790-8890 or so. I would rather that then only run 8600 rpm. I am going to wait for Allen to get me set up. But just messing around. Finally got to ride today!

Tim that's what mine does as well, spins and bumps the limiter but when I gain traction it stops over reving. It was only at 8600 for a second and it was climbing again. I was at 8700-9000 for most of my run and at 103 Mph I was at 9050. Very interested to see what dropping another number on the spring will do.
