I'm installing a holtzman kit on my 08 nytro. Where should I mount the nitrous nozzle. I was thinking on mounting it just above the screen on the front side of the air box, in front of cylinder #2 to get and even spray to all three cylinders.
Can I mount the fuel feed lines to the intake boots in the air box. Or do they need to be mounted between the box and intake.
If anyone has instructions please email them to me fastcars95@hotmail.com

How many nozzles do you have? As far as the fuel lines, those will go inside the air box with your fuel regulator mounted to the side of the box. I will try to get the instructions from my kit and email them to you. I've got 2 nozzles that are placed to the left and right of the center cylinder. Hopefully this helps!

I'm running one single nozzle for now. Did you mount your nozzle above the screen in the airbox

Apex kit on a Nytro

I was reading some old posts and it sounds like I need to mount the nozzle to the screen.
I'm having problems with the main fuel feed line. I think the fuel line is alittle thicker on the Nytro.

dude contact straightline performance the only distributor of holtzman nitrous...for specific instructions... dont chance it....

Yeah I talked to them a couple times on doing my install. They will help you out, and yes that fuel line is a bear to cut, but you will get it. I mounted mine right under the screen on the front of the air box. The one thing I did have to change was where I had the bottle mounted above the belt cover. It doesn't work with a siphon bottle. So I had to put it in the nose valve side up.

They sent me the instructions right away. Thanks Nick at Straightline. One thing I would have not done right was point the nitrous nozzle away from the intake boots. I would have pointed them directly at them.

How long will the bottle last with a 45hp shot. I plan on holding it for no more then 8-10 seconds at a time.

PM 87GTNos..he has a ton of experience with NOS, he may know...I'd think with a 3lb bottle ( guessing thats what size you have ) you'd probably get 6-10 runs in? My buddy ran it years ago in an Indy 650, he didn't get many runs in but I believe he ran a very big shot. Should be fun!

I have always ran mine into the throttle bodies so has my buddies it feels like it comes on faster and stronger.
When I had a 45 shot I think I would get about 8-9 1000ft passes.When I added a 2nd nozzle I would get about 4 1/2 passes.My buddy was running 3 nozzles and would get about 2 passes and a little bit.

So with a single nozzle you pointed the nozzle right at the middle cylinder. Thats what I was going to do until I read the instructions.

I've got a single nozzle installed on an Apex and Barry Holtzman himself directed me to point it away from the throttle bodies, but maybe it's harder to spread the gas evenly into 4 cyl.'s than 3?
It does seem to me like you would be getting a higher concentration of nitrous feeding into the middle cyl. if pointed directly at it.

What size are your nozzles?

For example....you have 2lbs of nitrous.....that's about 900 grams of nitrous.

If I remember correctly, I have on my 90hp kit, two 15gram per second nozzles. So that's 30 grams per second.

So one 2lb bottle would give you 30 seconds of JOY!!

And that may not seem like much, but keep in mind, that's a long time on the juice....you'd never hold that long!!

I also believe the time to be a little more closer to 40 or 45 seconds worth at my hp levels.

I'm just finishing up with the install tonight. I have a 2.5lb bottle with a 45hp shot. If thats not enough I might stick a second bottle on the clutch cover, but I dont plan on using it too much so one bottle should do.

oh yeah...the bottles are 2.5lbs!

You would have 75 seconds of fun. That'll last all day!
