[have to UO get it to ride betterTE="Sledroll, post: 1219845, member: 3778"]add the WRP seat and lake effect pivot riser , and it will be much closer to the Viper , but still an Apex !
Sounds like a good idea. reminds me of another question I have. if you are already buying a new snowmobile and have to spend money into it just to get it to ride better is there an advantage to just buying the SE and not have to put any other money into it?[/QUOTE]
It appears that most people who have owned both the SE and the XTX , prefer the XTX , as I have and do .
It is a better sled , so why get the SE ?
If you can make the better sled , even better ! by adding the Star kit , and other shock mods , and tweaking , why not ?
If you are paying over $18,000 CDN $'s for a new 2015 Apex XTX , what's another 10% more , to maximize the sled in most all conditions .
Even if you buy used , or new carryover , it makes even more sense to take some of your going in savings , and invest in your enjoyment factor .
The WRP seat is a big upgrade for ALL Apex's , so you should do some upgrades if you want the sled to be the best it can be = most fun and enjoyment !!!
As of now the only production sled that has the Apex engine , is an Apex !
That is why I stayed with the Apex , in addition to the power steering , and the 144 tipped up rails .
I used to fear for getting stuck with the shorty , when I went off trail .
Now I feel so comfortable maneuvering off trail , that it doesn't seam like the same sled .
All sleds can be improved with aftermarket upgrades , its just a matter of which sled , and which upgrades !
