So? The ONLY octane # that matters in regards to high performance engines is the motor octane #.

So what is the motoroctane of 91 premium then?

Shows Shell 91-octane pump tested as: 96.3 RON & 87.9 MON divided by 2 = 92.1

So all I have to do is tank at shell premium and use the 87MON number in the formula!
seems pretty easy
50-50mix give me 102 MON then... and that is exactly what I need!

Yep, with a point or two safety margin.50-50mix give me 102 MON then... and that is exactly what I need!
Doesn't have to be Shell fuel... That's just "one example" of what you could get at the pump... It's a gamble every single time you go to the pump... That's why I don't run pump gas... I don’t have to allow myself that margin-of-error just in case I get piss-poor-fuel at the pump... Understandably, for the majority of riders, this is unreasonable, dollar-per-mile/availability/etc... It's not an issue for me so I burn a full 12 gallons ($80) worth of straight VP100 (unleaded, non-oxygenated, 96 motor octane) every ride... Box stock Apex/10lbs boost/small nitrous kicker/no worries.
Got my own little gas station.........

If the octane needs to be that exact I wouldn't be trying to accomplish it with pump gas like HAMMER points out - I run a 50/50 mix in all of my high performance stuff primarily for the "insurance" factor plus everthing runs better and the race fuels have a much better shelf life
Why do the leaded race fuels have the same motor octane as they do R+M/2 octane when the unleaded race fuels are different by 4 to 5 points?
