Styling, build quality, big bump capability, throttle response, low and midrange power, ergonomics, and reliability, are as good as I have ever experienced.
But,,,,,,,I have never owned a sled as slow as this Viper. It hits a wall at 85 mph (typical groomed trail conditions). I have had 500cc Polaris's go 105 mph on the speedometer, which was most likely 95 mph in reality. And that was a 100 hp machine. My Viper has 500 miles on it with a PCV, Ignition module, and SLP muffler. You would think a sled with 140 hp or more would easily run with any sled up to 100 or so. Something is wrong with this chassis or perhaps there is a fail safe programming feature that pulls the top speed down. I had rode FX Nytros that had done over a 100 mph in like conditions.
This has me quite unsatisfied and I'm very surprised that so many Viper owners mention this but are not alarmed. It is not that anyone needs to run 100 all day long, but more that something is definitely wrong with the overall powertrain design.
